Realistic Impressionism would be the best way to describe Bill's paintings

While Bill works in both oils and acrylics, he has found that acrylics is his medium of choice. His keen eye for detail and color serves to set his paintings apart. Bill currently uses a moderate amount of detail in his work, striving to cnvey a visual image with the use of color and texture; focusing the detail on the focal point of the painting. He creates a dynamic life-giving quality to his paintings that is imparted to the viewer. Believing that his ability is a precious gift from God for which he has a responsibility, Bill strives continuously to achieve a level of excellence in his work.

There seems to be always something new to learn.....

.....in this process called painting. To inspire and prod that process along Bill attends as many workshops as possible each year, as well as conducting workshops and demonstrations of his own. He says he learns more than his students in each workshop. Bill has studied extensively with his mentor, Al Moore, a protegee' of Bob Wygant, who has been an important factor in inspiring him to paint in acrylics and strive for a higher level of professionalism in his art.
Bill's paintings have won numerous awards and prizes in shows. He has had a number of solo shows and his paintings can be seen in several galleries, and at his studio located in Temple.
